Pipilotti Rist. Vernissage - Kunsthaus Zürich 25.2.1016

26 February – 8 May 2016
Pipilotti Rist (b. 1962) is a pioneering figure in video art and has achieved international fame for her sensual and audacious video installations that tackle conventions and taboos in an entertaining, ironic and self-confident way. The exhibition presents key works from the beginning of her international career, including the early single-channel videos with which she became known in the 1980s. Pipilotti Rist is creating a large-format installation in the expansive space of the Bührle gallery specially for the exhibition, in which she explores new artistic and technical avenues.
The show is more than just a retrospective: it is conceived to fill the designated space in its totality as one single installation, in which new and older works reveal surprising links between the various phases of her career and fields of activity. The catalogue, in German and English, is designed as a glossary illuminating the most important themes and concepts of Pipilotti Rist’s artistic universe through literary and visual materials.
The exhibition with Pipilotti Rist is an exclusive presentation at the Kunsthaus Zürich.

Heat Affected Zone. Muster-Meier Contemporary Fine Art. Bern

I first became aware of Muster-Meier Contemporary Fine Art, in Bern when I noticed that they represent Kinki Texas, someone I have liked and been following since we were "friends" on Myspace (ha-ha remember that?).

Finding my self in Bern for a couple of days I couldn't miss out on the chance to visit. The current show in what I thought was a great space is a very interesting painting show by three younger (than what?) artists. Christian Hans Albert Hoosen *1981 Berlin, Kevin Aeschbacher *1988 Zürich, Hannes Zulauf *1992 Wohlen.

Kevin Aeschbacher - Pizza Alaska
Hoosen - Raffaello im Bett essen

Hoosen - Atomkraft
