UNBLOCK fair artfair. BERLIN sepember 2021

I'm really looking forward to and proud to be part of, the UNBLOCK fair artfair, in Berlin.

It spans the next two weekends in September, and runs parallel with Berlin Art Week.

A lot of people have put a lot of time and effort into the planning and organization and much credit should go to the curators, Denis Leo Hegic and Jan Gustav Fiedler for their enthusiasm and faith in the Studios ID collective.

I hope to see you there,...

ESPECIALLY, AS IT WILL PROBABLY BE ONE OF THE LAST THINGS I DO BEFORE I LEAVE BERLIN.

UNBLOCK fairartfair presents the work of 100 artists from the Studios ID complex in Lichtenberg. Based at the former Operative Technical Sector of East-German State Security, the site consists of two connected block buildings spanning a total of 11 floors, as well as an art garden area, offering a unique art experience with plenty to discover. The fair is curated by Denis Leo Hegic and Jan Gustav Fiedler, with the aim of transforming the former place of restriction into one of free expression. During the opening of the fair on September 10th, UNBLOCK Art Awards and the Nerma Linsberger Art Award will also be presented to the winning artists. With its open studio setting, UNBLOCK facilitates direct exchange with artists at the point of creation, offering an art fair as a bridge between artists and art lovers, and direct access to Berlin’s creative scene.

September 10.  Official public opening 19:30 -
